Should we call 911?!?

Bright sunshine, blue skies, what a great way to start the day! We cruise around Gouin dam. Nice place!

Zoom Zoom! We fly on those wide forest roads, when, suddenly, Marc stops.
Is there a problem? " Did you see, on the side of the road, there's a body lying on the ground!!" He says.

What? You're kidding! We turn around to check it out. It's a man lying on his side on the gravel road. It's 10:30 am, it's hot in the morning sun, our quads our noisy but he's not moving. Is he sick? Was he hit by a car, or a truck??

Marc gets a little closer, I feel strange, a little anxious, not knowing what to expect...He does'nt seem to be hurt, in fact, he seems to be sleeping!! To make sure we don't leave him stranded without help,(the nearest town is Parent, over 70 miles south!) we shake him a little bit... a little more... even more...When he finally wakes up, the smell of alcohol brings answers to our questions.

And so we leave him behind, and as we drive off we can see him in the rear view mirror, walking, zigging and zagging right in the middle of the road... the same road the logging trucks fly over...

Yeah !
Yeah ! A Little swim!
feels good to take off a layer of dust...
Bof...
Bof... 1st technical problem:
One of our communication devices is out of order (broken wire). From now on, it'll be impossible to communicate with each other while riding.

It's hot!

OK, we just found our spot for tonight. It's still early but the idea of swimming in a lake brings us to a stop.

Yeap! Tomorrow we take it easy.

We discover a small paradise. A small sandy peninsula and nobody around. We're in Parent.

TRICKS AND INFOS

Handy when travelling ondusty trails, a small soap container taped on a gallon of water equipped with a manual pump. Secured on the rear rack with a bungee cord, it's always available (not hidden somewhere down the bottom of a container). When you take a break, you can easily wash off some of the dirt...

It may sound kinda simple, but you would'nt believe how handy it is!
